The Auckland Folk Festival runs over the three days of Auckland Anniversary Weekend in late January. In 2019 this will be Friday January 25th until Sunday 27th . the CoffeeBar Kid and Photographer Trevor Villers attended. We saw a wide range of folk music, and dance from contemporary through bluegrass, Irish and traditional. Guest artists are invited from all over the world, with both local and international musicians and dancers offering workshops and participating in all night jam sessions. Highlights were Canada's The East Pointers, The wonderful Reb Fountain and the super cool Nadia Reid but there were plenty of other great moments, too. Here are some photos by Trevor Villers.
